Jessica + Alex // Country Engagement Session

When I met Jessica for a wedding consult a number of months back I was instantly blown away with how beautiful she was. Once we got to chatting I was equally blown away with how lovely she is. She and I chatted away in Starbucks for what seemed like forever and it turned out her and Alex were getting married at the Code’s Mill in Perth, which was the same venue I had for my wedding! Obviously I picked that venue because I completely loved it, so I was so thrilled when they chose me to shoot their wedding there!

Fun fact: Jessica and Alex actually went to see the Code’s Mill the day after my wedding and they remembered a bunch of my decor stuff that was still up when they arrived (clearly I was still getting my life together in the hotel and had not quite gotten started packing up my decor). What are the chances!

Alex and Jessica met out on the West Coast, but it was love (and the Military) that brought them here. Their engagement session was my first chance to meet Alex and my excitement for their wedding was certainly kicked up a notch! Jessica has a totally genuine laugh and a gorgeous smile, which is the perfect match for Alex’s awesome sense of humour! Man, that guy can get her to giggle. In my books a sense of humour is pretty key, and the fact that he can rock that uniform works to his advantage as well!

Im sure after seeing some of their engagement session you will be equally excited for their wedding day!

You can’t have an engagement session that is all business, so we switched things up a bit and wandered around their property a little more casual.

We couldn’t help but add their pooch and a few beers to the shoot too!

I love the facial expression that usually follow popping a bottle of champagne!
