Jessica + Alex // Code’s Mill Wedding in Perth

Jessica and Alex tied the knot in one of my favorite little towns, Perth. I actually lived in Perth for a little while before I moved into Ottawa to start University. I had a little apartment on the main street above one of the jewellery shops. We hardly had any furniture (our living room featured folding lawn chairs, legit) but when you are 17 years old it seems like the sweetest thing ever! I have since upgraded my taste in furniture and although my current couches are less portable than my folding lawn chairs, they are much more comfortable.

Perth was also where Brent and I had our wedding last June. We had a church ceremony whereas Jessica and Alex exchanged vows in the beautiful Stewart Park. The bridesmaids and Jessica walked over the little bridge and then down the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful and even a little sprinkle of rain could not dampen anyone’s spirits!

You would think that a wedding party filled with 3 siblings, a bunch of military guys, and one pregnant bridesmaids would be be wound a little tight, but that could not have been further from the truth. Jessica and Alex were cool as cucumbers all day (thats right, I just said “cool as a cucumber”) and their party was no different! We took our time with photos and even took a few breaks to grab beers and fill up the scotch glasses.
