This Strathmere Lodge wedding was a excellent blend of both Lauren and Craig. The day perfectly balanced Craig’s Scottish roots and Lauren’s classic elegance to make for a spectacular wedding.
The groomsmen looked dapper in there kilts (once they figured out how to wear them properly with a little help from Craig) and the ladies looked fabulous in floor length navy wrap dresses. Although none looked as good as Lauren, who was the most radiant (and very sparkly) bride!
I have so many favourite photos from this wedding, so in order to let you enjoy them sooner I have decided to just give you a list of my favourite highlights from Lauren’s and Craig’s wedding.
- Craig teaching the boys how to tie the laces on their shoes;
- Craig’s dad performing the most beautiful ceremony (in his awesome Scottish accent);
- Lauren’s fabulous shoes;
- The glass of scotch put out at the reception in honour of Craig’s grandfather;
- One of the best Maid of Honour speeches I have ever heard (seriously… hilarious… I want to be Annie’s friend);
- The smile on Craig’s face whenever he looked at Lauren;
- Lauren’s parents dancing – they looked so wonderfully in love and made me want to take dance lessons with my husband;
- The traditional Scottish dancing and the laughter that ensued.
And then there is the moment when the flower girl tries to steal away the groom mid-ceremony.
