This wedding, this couple, this love story – absolutely one for the books! Kathleen and Jeremy’s Almonte Herb Garden summer wedding was just as perfect as I hoped it would be. I feel so grateful to arrive on a wedding day and feel like I am there to celebrate with friends – the fact that Katheen (AKA Lenny) and I had developed our own nicknames and always exchanged the funniest emails just added to how much I already loved these two! When you have a couple as awesome as Kathleen and Jeremy, then you know they are going to have an equally fun wedding party. My friends, they did not disappoint! From getting ready, until the dance floor craziness, this crew was a blast to be around.
Once you start scrolling through this never-ending blog post you will probably notice how totally epic and unique Kathleen’s wedding dress is. Her two piece dress was a custom design by Maureen Patricia and Norde Bridal that was made partially from the fabric of her mother’s wedding dress, which was made from the fabric of her Grandmother’s wedding dress. I know right – mind blown with excitement! I don’t think I really need to confirm that it was stunning since you are about to see it, but yes, it was STUNNING!
Although the wedding day weather seemed a little unsure with itself, we pushed ahead with the outdoor ceremony at the Herb Garden. We almost made it all the way through before the rain started, but I honestly think it added to the excitement! I should probably take a quick moment to thank my 2nd shooter and main man, Brent, for sprinting to the car in the middle of the ceremony and fetching the clear umbrellas that we usually bring with us. Thanks to his quick thinking, we were able to capture Kathleen, Jeremy, and the whole wedding party coming back down the aisle laughing under cute umbrellas (and staying a little more dry).
Kathleen had envisioned a beautiful white tent draped with lights all over. With her dad owning an electrical company, I had no doubt this vision would be well executed. Along with the help of Courtney Elizabeth Events, for day-of coordination, the reception space was stunning and guests had the most wonderful evening celebrating the new Mr and Mrs.
Kathleen and Jeremy – thank you for choosing me to be a part of your wedding day. You two are such an incredible couple and I feel so grateful to have gotten to know you both and document this day for you!
How amazing are these groomsmen gift boxes that Jeremy made the guys? Also, mad props going to Tobias for killing it with the bow tie tying!
I wish I could remember all the details about the trophy in the next few photos, but it is just too cool to not try to explain. So, Kathleen’s dad has this awesome group of friends and whenever one of them would have a new kid they would add a plaque to the trophy and bring it to the hospital. Now that all the kids are grown, they have started brining it to the weddings of the kids and everyone drinks from it. Watching everyone pass this trophy around on the dance floor was just the coolest. I LOVE traditions like these!
