This stunning pastel and gold wedding at the Code’s Mill in Perth is a special one. Not only is it one of my favorite wedding venues (aka where I also got married), but Megan and Jordan are an incredibly special couple. From the moment I met them last September I have been excited for their wedding day. They are one of those couples that you picture sitting on a park bench holding hands 60 years from now. Together they planned a wedding with so many beautiful details and celebrated their love surrounded by family and friends.
The day was filled with so much love and beauty that is was so hard to choose favorites. From the stunning stationary, to the soft chiffon bridesmaid dresses, to Jordan’s tears as Megan walked down the aisle, and gold accents throughout the reception – everything was literally picture perfect.
The only thing that topped the day’s beauty was the love that poured out of every moment. These two deserved the wedding of their dreams and I honestly think they got it! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Legg!
Megan’s Bridesmaids were such a blast and they were beyond excited for Megan’s big day!
Below are two of my favorite moments from the ceremony. Megan’s dad adjusting the back of her dress and Jordan smiling at his new ring after signing the registry.
Our little flower girl was arguably one of the cutest parts of the day! Her mom and dad were also in the wedding party and I think she did them pretty proud during all the photos.
Megan stood as Maid of Honour last month for Sarah’s wedding and today was Sarah’s opportunity to do the same for her best friend.
Jordan’s parents had also been married in Perth and their wedding photos included a similar shot on the bridge with the water tower in the background. In the spirit of tradition we had to re-create it for Megan and Jordan.
I absolutely love the exposed beams, brick walls, and twinkle lights that surround the Code’s Mill. It was these things that made me choose it as my own wedding venue a little over 2 years ago. That being said, when I walked into the Code’s Mill and saw what Megan had done I was blown away. Her gold accents brought so much elegance and style to the historic venue. You could tell she worked so hard to create a stunning and welcoming space for her friends and family to celebrate all night with her and her new husband!
Megan and Jordan – I feel so lucky to have spent your wedding day with you. Not only lucky to have been chosen to capture so much love and beauty, but also lucky to have made two amazing new friends. I hope your honeymoon in Italy is fabulous and I can’t wait to hear all about it when you get home (perhaps over a glass of red wine… lets be real… a few bottles of red wine). Meg – I hope you like saying “Husband” more than you liked saying “Fiancee” because you are now a happily married lady! (*insert excited T-rex hands*)
