Romantic Backyard Wedding // Carly + Kenny

Carly and Kenny exchanged vows in a romantic backyard wedding at Carly’s childhood home. Mother nature didn’t entirely cooperate, but still the day was filled with so much love and joy.

We started the day with Carly and her seven bridesmaids sipping champagne in adorable floral robes at her parents home on the Ottawa River. Meanwhile, Kenny and his groomsmen got ready at a cottage just down the street. It was the perfect relaxing way to start a wedding. The day was filled with so much joy and excitement. Carly and Kenny chose to do a first look by the water before heading off to do photos with the wedding party. We returned to the house for the romantic backyard wedding ceremony and had the chance for a few more waterfront photos.

I will admit that this wedding day was a little extra special for me. Carly is one of my best friends and documenting her wedding day was such an honour. Carly is one of the most kind and genuine people I know. She is truly one in a million, and Kenny is a lucky man to have her as his wife. (okay… Carly is lucky to have Kenny too… but a girl’s gotta back her BFF right?).

Carly looked breathtaking and Kenny was so dapper in his amazing suit. Fun fact – Kenny actually changed his suit selection just a few weeks before the wedding and didn’t tell Carly. It took her a few minutes to notice the change after the first look, but obviously she approved (because Kenny has mad style).

The Pembroke Golf Course looked stunning with white draping and twinkle lights all around. It was the perfect place to party the night away and celebrate with friends and family. The dance floor was packed all night long and it only got better when Kenny (who is the lead vocals for the amazing BlakDenim) was handed microphone!

And my dear Carly – you were the most stunning bride! Photographing you is always a pleasure, but your wedding day was something of a dream. That you for sharing your heart with me and trusting me to capture this part of your story.
