Our Wedding Vows // Two Years of Marriage

I love weddings. I love everything about them. I love the flowers, the beautiful dresses, the excitement, the decor, the celebration, and all of the sparkly things! But, my absolutely favorite part of a wedding is the ceremony. I guess I actually love LOVE. I am regularly hiding my tears behind the camera while photographing a wedding day. My eyes practically get misty on cue to a Bride walking down the aisle. I have been a photographer and a guest at many many weddings, but it won’t surprise you to know that my favorite wedding of all time was my own!

I managed to keep pretty dry eyes during my own ceremony – not because I wasn’t emotional but because I was so comfortable. Standing in front of our friends and family and pledging our endless love was easy. It just felt so right. Since we are off in Cape Cod right now celebrating two years of marriage I thought it would be a nice to share with you the vows we wrote for our wedding day.

Brittany’s Vows:

I promise to love you unconditionally and without hesitation. To stand by your side when life seems easy and when it is hard, when our love is simple and when it is an effort.

I promise to be your biggest advocate, accomplice in adventure and partner in crime.

I promise to keep you from driving cars with wood panelling, painting walls white, and succumbing to your inner old man.

Though life may not always be as perfect as it is in this moment, I vow to always keep my love for you as genuine and true as it is today.

Brent’s Vows:

I promise that I will always walk beside you and hold your hand so that we can take this trip through life together.

I promise that I will keep a sense of humour so that we will always be able to laugh together.

I promise to keep my love for ironing and vacuuming so that you never need to worry about doing either.

I promise to always cherish the strength and love that you give to me every moment that we spend together.

I hope 20 years from now we are still living these promises. Happy Anniversary my love!
